Annoucement About TREC Manchester

It is with sadness that we must announce the closure of TREC. At the AGM on Friday 11 April 2014, the committee took stock of the group and considered various options for taking it forward. While there was still interest in the group, in particular as an inclusive space for people across the gender spectrum, many of those involved in running it have had to step back for personal, family, or work reasons. Therefore, the committee has come to the conclusion that due to the lack of future leadership, it is best to discontinue the organisation.

Our sincere hope is that the end of TREC will provide the space and the impetus for exciting new trans initiatives in Manchester. There is still plenty of work to be done.

We would like to thank everyone who has been involved with running, volunteering, speaking at, or participating in TREC over the past five years. We have plenty to be proud of.
